Honorary Consul Ben Lyon
Ben H. Lyon is an international technology transactions specialist with over 25 years of experience as an Executive Vice President and General Counsel. He has handled and negotiated complex and strategic technology matters and played a key role in several Silicon Valley success stories, including Tellme Networks and Ingenio, which were acquired by Microsoft and AT&T, respectively.
Throughout his career, Mr. Lyon has been a valuable advisor to senior executive teams and boards of directors and has been an angel investor for leading start-ups in Silicon Valley, Silicon Beach, and internationally. He supports a diverse array of technologies, including nanotech cancer treatment platforms, nanotech infrared systems, mobile payment systems, and various network technologies and systems providers.
In addition, Mr. Lyon has served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for a nanotechnology company founded by Slovaks and has held the position of General Counsel for Kaga FEI America, Inc. (previously Fujitsu America, Inc.).
He co-produced a successful award-winning international Hollywood movie and has been a professor of international technology transactions for more than 25 years. He has taught both, undergraduate and graduate law students in the United States and abroad at institutions such as the University of San Francisco, Charles University in Prague, and Trinity College in Dublin.
As a notable figure, Mr. Lyon brings his knowledge and skills to support Slovaks in Southern California and Nevada. He serves as part-time Honorary Consul for the Slovak Republic and Slovak citizens in these regions, with a consulate office located in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California, USA.
